THE HOME FOR NASHVILLE COMEDY

Third Coast Comedy Club is officially heading east. After a year of searching for its next home, the beloved improv theater has secured a new long-term location in East Nashville on Dickerson Pike, in the former Good Wood retail space next to Retrograde Coffee. The club’s goal is to open the new space by the end of this summer.
Last year, Third Coast shared publicly that it would need to relocate from its current home at Marathon Village and began an extensive search across Nashville for the right fit. After exploring multiple options and navigating the realities of commercial real estate, the team has now found a location that allows the theater to continue and grow in the years to come.
“This past year required a lot of patience and persistence, but the support from our community reminded us exactly why this theater matters. Crossing over into East Nashville feels like the beginning of a new chapter.” —Luke Watson, Co-Owner, Third Coast Comedy Club
The new Dickerson Pike location will require significant buildout to transform the former retail space into a fully functioning comedy venue. Plans include multiple stages, dedicated classrooms, and an expanded bar, along with extended operating hours from 11 a.m. to close daily. Estimated buildout costs exceed $450,000.
Since first announcing the need for a new home last summer, Third Coast has already raised substantial funds through community donations and grassroots support efforts. Leadership expressed deep gratitude to the hundreds of patrons, performers, students, and supporters who have contributed during this transition.
Since first announcing the need for a new home last summer, Third Coast has received more than 100 community donations totaling over $13k. In addition, supporters pledged over $500k in potential loan commitments during earlier capital-raising efforts. This serves as a powerful demonstration of belief in the theater’s long-term future, even though those loan pledges were not ultimately activated.
“This community has carried us through every step of this process. The generosity, encouragement, and belief in what we’re building has been incredible. We’re excited to create a space in East Nashville that reflects the scale of what Third Coast has become — a true home for improv in Music City.” —Scott Field, Co-Owner, Third Coast Comedy Club
To complete the buildout and fully realize the vision for the new space, Third Coast will soon launch a public crowdfunding campaign. Supporters are encouraged to follow the club on social media for updates and ways to contribute.
